WASHINGTON-  It could have been worst, but many people have been impacted by the storm on the east coast of the United States of America.
The Homeland Security plans accomplished what was planned. Lives have been saved. People were better prepared. Residents moved away from areas that were impact zones. Shelters operated safely. A monument dedication was postponed today. Americans were safer. One can never be overly prepared or overly safe.

A swift boat recuse did not turn deadly in New Jersey, as previously reported. A fire fighter has not been killed, but has been successful in saving his own life.

Dangerous conditions still exist. River flooding, powerful winds blowing down trees, and eroded streets continue to be an issue. Thousands of people are, reportedly, in need of electrical supplies. Electrical wires have fallen, and are being fixed.

In Washington, DC people are experiencing beautiful blue skies and sunshine. But people are being asked to consider being wise. Flooding is still a possibility. Thirteen deaths due to falling trees and winds and moving water, should give us pause. We are not back to normal.

Consider staying safe. If you are on the east coast of the U.S. environmental conditions are still uncertain. Consider water flooding the regions. Roads may appear to be useable, when covered with water, but actually be dangerous.

Please use wisdom. And go with the flow for the day. Relax.

Rivers are moving fast. Winds are still moving unstable branches. The conditions keep changing.

Consider doing a damage assessment of your property. Look for cracks, broken glass and falling awnings. Also consider looking up into trees to see if branches or gutters are about to fall. Do not walk into flooded basements, if it  the main electrical turn off switch is located in the basement. Electrical power should be turned off before walking in the water. Stay safe.

We can never be overly prepared or overly cautious.
