WASHINGTON- Today, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 10:45 AM, Eastern Time: FEMA, NOAA'S National Hurricane Center will hold a Media Call on Hurricane Irene.

     But, U.S. President Barack Obama is focused on improving the American economy. He received an economic briefing in Chilmark, Massachusetts from Brian Deese, Deputy Director of the National Economic Council as Hurricane Irene approached the East Coast of the United States of America.

     Meanwhile, the Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Craig Fugate and NOAA's National Hurricane Center Director Bill Read held a press conference call to discuss the latest developments and the ongoing federal efforts to support territories and states; which have or could be impacted by this storm.  The call will come as the National Hurricane Center releases its updated forecast, the White House reports.
