WASHINGTON- Today, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 10:45 AM, Eastern Time: journalist have been released from Rixos Hotel in Tripoli after five days of captivity.

"Everyone is OK, no injuries," Matthew Chance of CNN said.

After being held for days, the whole situation changed when guards said, "we're are not going to hold you any more." The guards surrendered their guns, after guards realized the regime was over.

Crews are going to a safer location, in five cars. They are driving through deserted streets. People are weeping with relief, Chance said. For days, every time somebody tried to leave, there were gun shots.

Now, there is a battle to control the airport. The situation continues to be very tense. The southern regions of Libya, near the airport, is dangerous. As a good chunk of southern Libya continues to be a battle ground.
