WASHINGTON, DC- Less than 9 hours away from a possible U.S. Government shut-down and the Democrats are arguing that the pending government shut-down is more about ideology than budget cut. In contrast, the GOP is arguing that the pending government shut-down is more about financial solvency than ideology.
But let's face the facts, the Democratic position to fund Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc. (Planned Parenthood) is about ideology and the Republican proposition to de-fund riders such as Planned Parenthood is about the U.S. deficit.
According to an American Life League review of Planned Parenthood's annual reports between 2002 and 2008, , the organization received more than $2 billion in federal grants and contracts. However, a June 16, 2010 Government Accountability Report found that the organization spent just $657.1 million of taxpayer money in the same time period.The $1.3 billion dollar discrepancy has failed to catch the attention of both Bush and Obama administrations as well as the U.S. Congress. Planned Parenthood's income/outlay discrepancy has not accounted for.
Where did the 1.3 Billion dollars go? While the U.S. Congress argues over the funding Planned Parenthood and others riders, Americans are left wondering about missing 1.3 billion.
What did the U.S. government gain for spending $2 billion dollars, you might ask, if it did not gain the genocide of human fetuses? Moreover why should anyone believe that giving billions of dollars to private organizations, such as Planned Parenthood, is warranted if there are no determinative assets associated with the gift.
One thing is certain—the federal and state funding for impoverished women by way of Planned Parenthood has increased the genocide of fetuses within the bodies of poor women.
Planned Parenthood is a pro-abortion corporation which began in 1916 when the formerly jailed Margaret Sanger opened the first US birth control clinic in Brooklyn, New York
In 1970 former U.S. President Richard Nixon signed into law the Family Planning Services and Population Research Act amending the Public Health Service Act. Title 10 of the law provided for the funding of family planning services that include contraceptives and family planning. The funding has enjoyed bipartisan support.
Health services are supported with two-thirds of its budget and one third of its budget goes to non-medical services such as public policy work, sex education and management expenses, fundraising and international programs
National pro-life persons continue to lobby against the Federal funding of Planned Parenthood.
Sanger was the founder of the American Birth Control League in 1921, which in 1942 became part of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc.
