WASHINGTON, DC- "Events in Libya are alarming." President Barack Obama said this afternoon. After consulted a bipartisan group of Congressional leaders on Libya in the White House Situation Room, President Obama spoke to the United States of America making it clear what the United States is not going to do. Focusing the U.S. mission as much as possible.

But what is it that President Obama wants exactly.

It all boils down to what is going to be effected in Libya, short of directly removing the self-appointed leader of Libya.

Thousands could die, President Obama said. But the United States will not be sending ground forces into Libya. Secretary Gates is coordinating a response.

"We will not pursue action alone," President Obama said. The U.S. is shaping a strong international response. But President Obama has decided to not be the lead nation to remove anyone.

"We will hold the Regime accountable," President Obama continues to say.
