WASHINGTON- Shared responsibility? Or is it more like a shared obligation to lift America out of its horrible state of debt, deficits and delayed prosperity.
President Barack Obama continues to ask business owners through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to hire people, innovate and spend money. But at what cost?
Spending a great deal of money, by hiring people, in a staled market might drastically turn a profitable company into a failed business. Managing corporate resources is extremely important, as its business innovates and invest in its future. Business owners are working to sustain and create wealth, by way of satisfied clients. The goal for a business is not to be responsible for government debts, needs or demands. Corporate resources are tools of the competent built on monuments of a business plan. Corporate resources are not collected to forfill an obligation of the federal government.
Corporations exist to profit not to assume the obligations of the federal government. The over indulgences and ear-mark s of the federal government aren't the responsibilities of corporate America.
President Obama opted to walk to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from the White House, instead of using the motorcade. It was a sunny day and the Chamber of Commerce building was a stone's throw from the White House. White House Chief of Staff William Daley, senior adviser Valerie Jarrett and the White House press pool walked with President Obama. President Obama ignored a question by a press pooler about how talks are going with Egypt. A crowd of protesters strategically placed across the street from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce briefly caught President Obama's attention.Protesters shouted over and over, "Hey hey, ho ho, union busting's got to go."

President Barack Obama walks through Lafayette Square with Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett, Chief of Staff Bill Daley, and National Economic Council Director Gene Sperling after addressing the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C..
Following his remarks, President Obama said on the state of affairs in Egypt: "Obviously Egypt has to negotiate a path and they're making progress."
But more than 300 people have been killed in Egypt and many more injured.
President Obama briefly shook hands with the front rows before walking out with Mr. Daley and Ms. Jarrett. Administration officials present included: Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, US Trade Rep. Ron Kirk, SBA Administrator Karen Mills, NEC Director Gene Sperling, Export-Import Bank Chairman Fred Hochberg, OPIC President Elizabeth Littlefield, Becky Blank and Undersecretary Francisco Sanchez of the Commerce Dept, Treasury Deputy Secretary Neal Wolin and CNCS CEO Patrick Corvington.
At a very critical time in America's development the Bush and Obama administrations borrowed a great deal of money and loaned it to businesses, which the federal government argued were to big to fail. Now, the administrations want corporations to assume some of the federal obligation to pay the lenders back and hire people. That is all well and good if the corporations need the help.
Listen closely to what President Obama said as he spoke to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on the "shared responsibilities of governance and business in America."
