Civil War Breaks Out In Egypt

EGYPT- Under the guise of darkness and after telling people they would be beaten if they continued to protest against the Egyptian leadership, people were attacked. Under the shroud of darkness, a military tank moved against Egyptian civilians. Following a day of violence in the streets. Earlier in the day one person is confirmed dead and 400 plus persons injured in downtown Cairo.
The Egyptian military had vowed, according to reports, not to act against civilians. However, the police may now be disguised as the highly respected military to fight protesting civilians.
Western media representatives and Israeli journalist were detained and attacked earlier in the day. Some were arrested, questioned and terrorized after being taken off of the streets. The peaceful protesters were encircled and confronted and encouraged to go home.
April the Sixth protesters, who began the demands for President Mubarak's resignation, are highly educated individuals who can not find jobs, but are willing to support clear elections. The Egyptian government, government supported police and released criminal prisoners have caused damage to Egyptian buuilding and intimidated people on the streets.Earlier today supporters of Egyptian president Mubarak started fighting with protesters. Molotov bombs were thrown from roofs of buildings onto protesters, guns were fired into the air by the military, tanks started moving toward civilians, rocks started flying and utter lawlessness and death looms. The Internet access for the nation-state of Egypt came back online. Supporters of Mubarak were recorded for the world to see supporting him. Police out of uniform attacked people. Others on horse-back and camel-back attacked protesters against the government, but were pulled off the horses and beaten.
The Egyptian counter-part to U.S. Joint Chief Chair Mullen told the U.S. that the military would have to take orders from civilian leadership.
Pro and anti-government Egyptians fought each other most of the day.
Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton stated that those responsible for the violence would be held accountable. But the United States of America's role is limited.
The situation presenting itself, especially as it intensifies, directly shows how far people will go to be free. Jordan, Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Syria and other nation-states are moving toward democracy. The U.S. reponse to this process has evolved. Yet the perceptions of the global leaders in the region have failed to recognize the desires of people who want to enjoy life like their leaders.
On the violence in Egypt the White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said, "The United States deplores and condemns the violence that is taking place in Egypt, and we are deeply concerned about attacks on the media and peaceful demonstrators. We repeat our strong call for restraint."
Pro-government forces and anti-government forces are fighting as the Egyptian military stands by and does nothing, it is being reported.
