"TOGETHER WE THRIVE: TUCSON and AMERICA"
Posted and Written by Karen Ann Carr

WASHINGTON, DC- On Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will visit the University of Arizona Tucson to speak at a memorial event, “Together We Thrive: Tucson and America."
The evening event, which takes place at 6 p.m. at McKale Memorial Center (1721 E Enke Dr., Tucson, Ariz.), will support and remember victims of the mass shooting in Tucson, and will hopefully lift the spirits of those who have been personally affected by this tragedy.
Thirteen people were shot and numerous others were terrorized by a man with a Glock 9 mm semi-automatic pistol. Friends and associates of the man stated he was intellectually arrogant and mentally angry at US Representative Gabrielle Giffords - Kelly.
Whereas some are summarizing that the murderer was deranged or insane; it is appearing to be more likely that the man intentionally with forethought planned to kill multitudes of people in addition to his primary target, Representative Giffords, who remains in the hospital.

"Bilateral Meeting with US President Barack Obama and President Nicolas Sarkozy of France at the White House"
Posted and Written by Karen Ann Carr
________________________________________________________________________
WASHINGTON, DC- U.S. President Barack Obama thanked French President Nicolas Sarkozy for France's cooperation on the global economic crisis, fighting terrorism, the Middle-East peace process and issues relating to Iran; but stopped short of embracing President Sarkozy's G-8 and G-20 goal of diminishing the strategic importance of the U.S. Federal Reserve and its global policies to sustain the value of the U.S. dollar.
The Federal Reserve Bank, during the Obama administration, has been a strategic partner leading the global economy away from certain disaster into pending relief.
In contrast to France's public deficit, which is set to hit 7.7 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) in 2010. According to sources, the public debt of France may reach a peak of 87.4 percent of GDP in 2012 before it starts falling in 2013 to approximately 86.8 percent of GDP.
President Sarkozy publicly said in the Oval Office of the White House "We are in the 21st century, . . . need new ideas for this new century. And with President Obama, we are determined to forge ahead, come up with these new ideas for "the greater benefit of the peoples of the world, for their prosperity and for the stability of this world of ours."
"I’ve always been a great friend, a tremendous friend of the United States, and I know how important a role the U.S. plays in the world, how important the U.S. dollar is as the world’s number one currency; President Sarcozy said."
So to get things moving within the framework of the G8 and the G20, President Sarkozy is "determined to propose new ideas concerning the important role the U.S. dollar plays as the world's number one currency, specifically for the greater benefit of the peoples of the world not the United States of America.
In contrast, President Obama is working for the benefit of the people of America, for their prosperity, for the stability of the United States of America, and for the stability of the world's number one currency, not the global currency.
A question is why should the U.S. subject its currency to global reforms that would please the Global Economic Order? Why is President Sarkozy the spokesperson for the Global Economic Order? Moreover, why is President Sarkozy pressing the global community towards lessening the prominent role of the U.S. dollar as the de facto global reserve currency?
Sudden international concerns about over-exposure of nations to the policy decisions by the U.S. Federal Reserve does not make sense. There must be some other reason for President Sarkozy's sudden focus on de-valuing U.S currency and balancing global monetary systems independent of the Federal Reserve Bank.
Given the American perspective of Frances public debt and the European Unions' currency and European deficits; exposing the U.S. dollar to European policy decisions would be fundamentally unwise for the president of the United States of America. At the present time the decisions and actions of Federal Reserve Bank are guiding American citizens and American leaders toward a more secure economic states-of-being.
In addition to the Federal Reserve Bank, new appointees like William Daley are contributing to the successes of the Obama administration, which is systematically acting to create new jobs and better the economy in America. It would be counter-productive to diminish the global reach of the US Federal reserve.
President Obama said during his meeting with President Sarkozy of France, "We spent the initial part of this meeting discussing the G8 and G20 agenda, because both in France and the United States and around the world, although we are in the process of healing and recovery from the disastrous recession that we went through, we’re not yet where we want to be. Too many people are still out of work. Too many businesses are still having problems getting financing. There’s still too many imbalances in the world economy that are inhibiting the prospects of growth."
"And so in our discussions, with the French in the lead both at the G8 and the G20 this year, we discussed how we can coordinate our agendas to make sure that we are as productive as possible in delivering the kinds of reforms and follow-through that will result in prosperity for peoples around the globe."
"After this brief press appearance we’re going to be having lunch, and during that time we’ll be discussing issues in which there has been extraordinarily close collaboration. Obviously the French are one of our strongest allies -- a NATO ally; they are key members of ISAF. French troops have been sacrificing alongside Americans in uniform in Afghanistan. And we are very grateful for those sacrifices. So we will be discussing our strategies there, building off of the discussions we had in Lisbon."
"We’re also going to be discussing issues like Iran and the impact that sanctions are currently having on their nuclear program, and our hope that we can resolve this issue diplomatically. But we will be building on our shared resolve to assure that we’re not seeing nuclear weapons in Iran."
"We’ll discuss the Middle East, where Nicolas and I share a deep and abiding belief in the need for two states standing side by side in peace and security."
"We’ll be discussing issues like Cote d’Ivoire, where democracy is being threatened at this moment and where France has extraordinary historical ties and has shown great leadership; Sudan, where a referendum is taking place this weekend in which so much is at stake in preventing outbreaks of violence that could end up devastating the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, but also where there’s a prospect of a peaceful transition that could result in a better life for people in both the north and the south of Sudan."
"We’ll also finally be discussing Lebanon where I think we are all deeply concerned with the special tribunal there and making sure that justice is appropriately served."

"THE U.S. & WHITE HOUSE MOMENT OF SILENCE"
Posted and Written by Karen Ann Carr
________________________________________________________________________
WASHINGTON, DC- Today the White House, Capital Hill and Wall Street optimized the sentiment of much of the United States of America as a moment of silence was observed by millions of Americans.
On Monday morning, U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama observed moments of silence on the South Lawn of the White House to honor the lives of those attacked during last Saturdays acts of violence and terrorism in Tucson, Arizona.
At exactly 11 a.m., President Obama and Mrs. Obama walked on to the White House South Lawn along with more than 200 White House staffers who had already assembled on each side of them to observe moments of silence. President Obama was dressed in a long black coat and the First Lady was wearing in a long dark purple coat.
In the brief ceremony, with the American Flag at half-staff, a chime rang three times and then the President Obama, Mrs. Obama and staffers bowed their heads and closed their eyes. After almost exactly one minute, President and Mrs. Obama turned and walked back in the White House with their arms around one another. Then the White House staffers followed, back into White House and EEOB buildings.

"The skies opened up on Memorial Day outside of Chicago. When the lightning began, the Secret Service told the President that it was too dangerous to proceed. He took the stage by himself and informed the audience that his speech was canceled and that for everyone's safety, they should return to their busses. Later, he boarded a few of the busses to thank them for attending and apologized for not being able to speak."
